Prior to coming to the University of Ottawa I was a postdoc
at the University of Toronto. I taught in the joint
Mathematics/Computer Science/Statistics Dept. at UTM, organized the
Symplectic Seminar in the Mathematics Dept., and participated in
seminars and talks of the
Machine Learning Group in the Computer Science Dept..
I did my PhD in Computer Science at the University of Chicago (2013) and my PhD in Math at Stanford University (1994). Prior to my Computer Science grad studies I worked in industry, in high performance computing, at Supercomputing Systems AG, Zurich.
